Kenneth Eugene Kaylor, 60, of Boca Raton, passed away Friday morning.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 3:30pm on Thursday, June 30th at The Gardens of Boca Raton. Following the service, Ken’s wishes are to be cremated and have his ashes spread at sea.
Ken was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania to George and Betty. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University earning a Bachelor’s degree in the class of 1977. He worked 43 years in the hospitality field including experience at five star resorts, Caribbean properties, opening hotels, overseeing major renovations. As a general manager, he was highly regarded for his work ethic and mentoring. He most recently worked as the General Manager at the Wyndham Grand Resort in Boca Raton, a position he held for eight years.
An active member of the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club, he was a fixture at local events. Ken was a Harley-Davidson enthusiast. He was known for enjoying Dewars scotch and Padron cigars, and was active on social media, frequently posting about his various exploits.
Ken is preceded in death by his beloved parents, George and Betty Kaylor of Altoona, PA.
Ken is survived by son Jason Kaylor and his wife Marissa of Granite City, IL, son Loren Kaylor and his wife Julie of Maumelle, AR, stepdaughter Priscila Mazzon of Boca Raton, FL, brother George Kaylor and his wife Sharen of Middle River, MD, grandson Riley Kaylor, two step granddaughters, one great grandson, and two nephews.
